Activities at camp vary both in substance and content, ensuring variety to maximize each camper’s experience. Appropriate time is provided for self-care, rest, and personal reflection. At different points throughout the day, campers will interact with their cabin, village, and the entire camp community.
Cabin Activities:
Throughout the day campers travel with their cabins to a variety of activity areas. Schedules are thoughtfully created and curated for each cabin ensuring that campers have an opportunity to participate in all of the exciting program areas offered at camp. We work diligently to ensure that camper’s schedules are varied each day and offer a balance between high exertion and low exertion options.
Hobby Period:
At the beginning of each session, each camper selects a “Hobby” which are electives that campers sign up for once they arrive to camp based on their interests. A few times a week, campers are offered hobby periods. Led by our counselors and specialists, hobbies are opportunities to explore an activity not typically offered at camp or as a way to deep dive into one activity or topic that campers are interested in to build deeper skills. Some past hobbies include Wakeboarding, Rocks and Ropes, Junior Sports Zone, Pit Cooking, Fort Building, and more!
Evening Programs: Most evening programs are done by unit, and are planned by the staff within each of the units. Staff in each unit divide into small group activities that combine fun with meaningful, substantive Jewish content. Popular unit evening programs include getting to know your counselors, messy night, Bar/Bat Mitzvah night, Harry Potter night, treasure hunts, themed dance parties and Jews Cruise at the pool.
